After years with her violent husband Ike she finally left him and started to rebuild her own career as a solo artist.
She was half a million in debt and it took eight years of hard work before she finally hit the charts with Let's Stay
Together in 1983. 1984 was the year of her worldwide comeback: she had a huge hit single What´s Love Got To Do
With It and a multi-million selling album Private Dancer. She became a legend and a bigger star than ever before.
Tina became one of the greatest female rock stars in the world. She is known worldwide for her amazing
and spectacular rock concerts (and for her legs...) and powerful and raw voice, but especially in Europe she
has become a very popular live act and huge record seller. All of her tours have broke box-office records around

My beloved sister and childhood friend was murdered, she was caught in a horrendous living situation that
unfortunately too many women still face today. She was married to a man that abused her physically and emotionally.
I tried to warn her, to keep her away from him, but alas all that was in vain. God only knows how much I suffered!
After her death, I no longer had the desire to live and sing. It was as if I were mute, and the voice that I did have left,
was reserved to scream and cry in pain about this injustice. A part of me died with my sister. And Tina came along,
the story begins.

Ma soeur ainée, mon amie d'enfance a été assassinée. Elle se trouvait dans une situation lamentable que trop de
femmes connaissent trop bien. Elle vivait avec un mari qui la battait, la maltraitait, l'humiliait, mais par peur avait décidé
de rester à ces côtés. J'ai essayé de l'avertir, mais en vain. Dieu seul sait comment j'ai souffert! Après sa mort, c'était le
désespoir, je n'avais plus le goût de vivre voir chanter. Je n'avais plus de voix et le peu qu'il me restait, je réservais pour
pleurer de rage face à cette injustice. Une partie de ma vie s'était envolée. Tina est arrivée et ce fut le début de l'histoire.
